The Ring of Kerry
The Grand Dame of Touring Routes in Ireland!
Queen Victoria established this route and put Killarney on the map, in 1869. Tourists have been enjoying its beauty ever since.
Tour the famous Ring of Kerry, a 179km scenic route around the Iveragh Peninsula. Travel through Killorglin, home to the quirkiest Puck Fair, towards the coast and stop to admire the Dingle Peninsula with its mountains to the north, across a drowned river valley. Passing through Moll’s Gap, head for home via the glaciated landscape of the Killarney National Park, home to our remaining indiginous oak and Yew forests, keeping an eye out for deer.
